Positive Affirmations for my daughter and all girls.
My parents always told my siblings and I, “when you grow up, we want you all to be better than us. Do things we never thought of doing; go to places we never dreamt of going and more.”
It was encouraging to hear those words. But I wished it was said to us on a daily or ‘near’ daily basis.
Now as a mom, I do and say some of the things I was taught to my own children, especially my daughter.
But most importantly, things I have learned are very important. Things like POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS.
In a world where being a girl seems more challenging but promising, I will empower my daughter, Ivory, at an early age so she can be her best self and more.
Positive affirmations aren’t only nice words to say, they help instill her with confidence and conviction and belief that she can be great and do great things.
Here are some positive affirmations I am teaching her currently, as well some we are yet to learn.
She says this to herself in the mirror sometimes.

I also make my kids understand that no one should make them feel less of who they are. Everyone needs to be responsible for their actions and not blame anyone or allow another blame them.
We say the following daily in addition to some of the ones you have mentioned (beautiful, unique, enough)
1. No telling lies. I drum the importance of “truth” using different analogies and examples, into their ears. I must say that is making a huge impact
2. Don’t look at other people’s things simply means, be content/happy/thankful/grateful with what you have.
3. No name calling and don’t accommodate/tolerate any name calling from people
4. Don’t let people push you into doing bad things.
In addition to the affirmations, I believe in teaching children the right values which will eventually help in forming their character.
I was thought good values growing up and that has brought me so far in life. Integrity is key in life
These are so awesome.
Teaching the right things at home is always key.
