COVID-19 Chronicles with Dr Lulu
2020 hasn’t been what we all expected it to be.
My family was very excited about 2019 New Year’s eve and the whole year in particular. For the first time in 7 years, we would be celebrating New Year’s eve together in our US home. The weather was warmer than usual in Ohio and we even did some shopping earlier in the day in preparations for it. Everything was looking positive.

As a pediatrician and mother, I find joy in bringing you great & helpful info on medicine, motherhood and motivation.
We looked forward to the count down and joined Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen as we said goodbye to 2019 and into the new decade.
My husband who usually sleeps off early stayed awake. My ever energetic daughter was bouncing off the wall even during the first few minutes of 2020.
Unknown to us, this year would be the year of many other ‘firsts’. – the COVID-19 Pandemic; homeschooling (and finding ways to navigate it) and a worldwide protest for the murder of a black man through police brutality
Exhausting and mentally draining, would be an understatement.
I sat with Dr Lulu, a Pediatrician, and Teen Suicide activist to discuss my COVID chronicles- how it has affected me personally as well as my family and professional life; as well as discuss coping strategies I used to get through.
2020 is not over yet but I already see it as a year for a lot of positive changes.
